The announcement read at GBF on Sunday October 11th:

When Todd and Brent began praying over the search process for a new pastor, we knew that we were looking for a man with these qualities. We felt that the next Senior Pastor at Grace Bible Fellowship would be a man committed to both a lifelong commitment to studying the Word of God, and a long term commitment to the people of GBF, the community of Gunter and our surrounding communities. We asked God to provide such a man for GBF and we were obedient in opening our hearts and minds to God's response.

Unbeknownst to us when we first started this process, God had also been working on the heart of our next Senior Pastor. God had been telling him that his next job was as a Senior Pastor, and he felt the call from God was directing him specifically to Grace Bible Fellowship in Gunter, Texas. God then brought the three of us together for discussion, more discussion, many questions, and much time spent in prayer, both corporately and individually. The three of us committed to times of both fasting and individual prayer and pleaded with God to reveal his will to us. The three of us felt strongly that we were doing GodÕs will but we asked God to provide us with any shred of doubt, concern, or unease if this was not meant to be. After more time committed to praying, God reaffirmed our decision. That is where we are today.
