2009 Mission: "God of this City"

Gunter, Texas is a wonderful place to live. The schools are good, the people are nice, the town is clean and the feel of small town is friendly and appealing. In spite of the positive quality of life we enjoy, we all know someone in our town who need a relationship with God. As Christians we talk about loving people, but rarely do we go out of our way, into our neighborhoods, cities, schools, businesses to share God's love in practical, tangible, hands-on ways. This year is the year GBF has proclaimed that we will be instruments in God's hands to bring people into a relationship with the God of this city.

2008 Mission: "Open Arms"

2008 is the year of Open Arms at GBF. In all that we plan, in every ministry, in every service and every event, our goal is to intentionally have open arms toward each person we come in contact with. Loving everyone, the loved and unloved, the rich and the poor, the happy and the sad, the churched and the unchurched. In a world where we have phobias, hangups and way too much pride, we will do our best to remember that Christ love spans the gap. Our desire, with His help, is to span the gap in Gunter, welcoming all we encounter with open arms. Come join us. It's going to be an exciting year!

2007 Mission: "Hear Us From Heaven"

Never before in the history of America or the church has our theme for 2007 rang more truly. If we could desire any one thing as a church it would be that at the end of the day Heaven will have truly heard from us! I cannot think of a greater group of people to lead and to walk beside in this journey as we embark together to let our voices be heard and for all the earth to hear of God’s goodness as we set forth to make a difference in the lives and communities of those around us.
